CARPET  STYLES

1. CUT PILE PLUSH
   
   The carpet pile yarn stands up vertically out of the backing and resembles crew cut hair. It’s an even surface and has a soft and luxurious finish. The yarn is slightly twisted for the  retention of the physical appearance properties the yarn and the consequential look of the surface of the carpet. It is easily the most beautiful style on the market providing you with most pleasing flooring finish to the eye. The down side to this style is footprints can be left on the surface as you walk on it and permanent pile reversal, which is, adjoining areas of carpet pile have the pile leaning in different directions thereby reflecting the light differently and appearing a different colour and it becomes  permanent. This  style comes in plain colours or with patterns and it includes your axministers.
   
   
2. CUT PILE TWIST
   
   
   
   The same as plushes but here there is an attempt to correct the plushes downsides and increase the longevity of the carpet’s appearance retention properties. This done by increasing the twist level of the yarn and heat setting the yarn or for maximum performance chemically setting the yarn. This style dominates the domestic home market  particularly at the higher end wool fibre yarn pile composition.
   
   
3. LEVEL LOOP PILE
   
    
   
   The pile consists of level loops and this carpet imparts a casual feel to a home. On average this style is the cheapest carpet on the market so it’s popular for rental properties, first home buyers and commercial properties.
   
   
4. SISALS
   
   
   
   Textured loops arranged in strait rows like tram tracks. It’s very popular as it gives you a textured floor surface to complement the smooth paintwork of the walls. This style doesn’t date and is very versetile fitting into any interior decor scheme.
   
   
5. TEXTURED LOOP AND CUT PILE
   
   An arrangement of  loop and cut tufts. As a result of different heights of tufts  a textured and patterned appearance happens.
   
   
6. LEVEL LOOP AND CUT PILE
   
   
   
   A combination of level loop and cut tufts. A greater range of patterns can be created with this style.
   
   
7. HI/LO LOOP PILE
   
   
   
   An arrangement of loops of various heights resulting in a textured surface of the carpet.
